Porcelain waves bowl

Made over an extended amount of time, this porcelain bowl started off as a pinch pot. Porcelain pinch pots of this size (on their own) don’t always survive. Slithers of porcelain were attached individually to the outside of the bowl. The form was dried slowly before being fired in the kiln. 
A very limited range of hand tools was used. Not a pottery wheel in sight! The only bowl that was ever made in this way by Layla. 
There is transparency to the bowl, which really shows when you pop a candle inside.
This bowl is unglazed and therefore recommended for decorative use only.
