Lithium Landscapes: Poetry and Science in Brine Extraction

Lithium Landscapes: Poetry and Science in Brine Extraction

On Friday, I took part in speed networking hosted by Alexandra Knight from STEMAZING as part of the Transforming Foundation Industries Innovate UK programme for Women Innovators in the Foundation Industries.

I had some conversations I never would have dreamed of having in such a short space of time and got out of my comfort zone.

I am currently obsessed with Lithium. While researching and coding, I often get sparks of creativity of how to connect things together. Last night, I was focussed on the Lithium triangle (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile) and brine extraction. At first I was trying to create my own simple visualisation, using colours from Lithium pools. Then the words came.

A song is brewing. I might not use these words but it’s a starting point.
